The Reality of This Role
Safer Path is a small nonprofit organization serving a large rural region with limited resources and a strong commitment to survivor services. The Finance & Administration Manager must be comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution. One day may involve presenting financial information to the Board or developing budgets with the Executive Director; the next may involve reviewing invoices, troubleshooting payroll issues, coordinating with grant program managers, or improving administrative processes.
This position is best suited for a highly organized, adaptable professional who enjoys building systems, solving problems, and working collaboratively in a mission-driven environment. Successful candidates understand that in a small nonprofit, no task is beneath anyone, and flexibility, initiative, and a strong sense of accountability are essential.
While finance expertise is essential, success in this role requires an appreciation for the realities of working within a domestic violence and sexual assault services organization. Our staff work in a fast-paced environment supporting survivors through some of the most difficult experiences of their lives. Employees who thrive here are mission-driven, resilient, compassionate, and committed to helping build a strong organization that supports both staff and survivors.
