Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Education Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a love for physical activity and promote the importance of health and fitness among students. This role involves designing engaging lesson plans, facilitating various physical activities, and encouraging students to develop lifelong healthy habits. Overseeing sports teams, field management, scheduling etc...

Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curricula that align with state standards.
Teach students the fundamentals of various sports, fitness activities, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
Organize and supervise physical education classes, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair play among students during activities.
Collaborate with other educators to integrate health and wellness into the overall school curriculum.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student development and participation in physical education.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field from an accredited university is required.
Valid teaching certification or licensure in Physical Education is preferred.
Strong understanding of physical fitness principles, sports rules, and health education.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students of varying ages and abilities.
Ability to create an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all students.
Previous teaching experience in a school setting is a plus but not mandatory.
