Full Job Description

Central Florida Building Inspectors (CFBI) is expanding and seeking an experienced, state-licensed Home Inspector to join our growing team. We provide high-quality residential and commercial inspections throughout Central Florida and are adding dedicated coverage in the Polk and .Hillsborough County.

This is a full-time, W-2 employee position. We do not hire 1099 contractors or part-time personnel.

Position Responsibilities

Conduct detailed residential and commercial inspections, including comprehensive photo documentation and thermal imaging.
Perform add-on services such as water testing, termite/WDO inspections, and pool inspections.
Prepare and deliver clear, accurate, and timely inspection reports using a computer or mobile device.
Communicate findings professionally with clients, real estate agents, and other stakeholders.
Safely access attics, crawl spaces, roofs, and other confined or elevated areas.
Maintain a high standard of professionalism, accuracy, and customer service at all times.

Physical & Professional Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of licensed home inspection experience preferred.
Ability to climb ladders (up to 250 lb load capacity) and lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in confined spaces, attics, roofs, and other variable environments.
Reliable transportation with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check; drug-free workplace.
Construction background or related education is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to perform hands-on field work.

Compensation

First-year base salary options available.
Additional commission earnings based on inspection fees.
Typical annual earning potential: $52,000–$60,000+, depending on performance and experience.
