SUMMARY:
This position is designed to serve individuals who are currently in the residential program at PPBH. Employee will provide direct care and guidance, plan and coordinate, and supervise the residents of Res 2. Employee will assist and educate residents in basic living skills on a one-on-one or in a group setting of twelve or fewer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Transport residents to social activities, recreation shopping and community awareness.

Monitor weekly house meetings and providing guidance to Residents in planning activities, resolving roommate issues, maintenance problems, suggestions, and complaints.

Assist and instruct Residents in nutrition and menu planning.

Assist and instruct Residents in maintenance of their environment; the use of cleaning chemicals, utensils, laundry machines, kitchen appliances with emphasis on sanitation.

Advise Residents in developing habits of proper personal hygiene.

Document progress notes regarding the daily, monthly and weekend activities related to the goals and objectives of the individual treatment plans.

Document daily interaction with staff, group Psychosocial Rehabilitation Service training activities, and record Residents status in the census log.
- Monitor and document Resident’s medication compliance, facilitate prescription refills, medication changes, manage alternative procurement of medications for Residents without insurance and account for receipt and security of medications.

Completed intakes with new Admissions using interviews with the Resident, Psychological Examinations, Psychosocial, Mental Status Exams, and information from the admissions source and other members of the treatment team, including the family.

Performs other duties as required by supervisor.

As a 24-hour facility you are required to be available 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
- High School graduate or G.E.D. Certificate.

Ability to work independently with minimal direction supervision.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Must have Intermediate to advanced experience in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), the use of personal computers, and standard office productivity software.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
REQUIREMENTS:
- A valid Class E Drivers’ License for positions that require driving personal or Agency vehicle on Agency business.

Must maintain a minimum Bodily Injury & Property Liability insurance limit of at least $50,000 for positions that require driving personal own vehicle (POV) on Agency business. (Proof Required)
