Location: Orlando, FL – Hybrid (Remote & In-Person Saturday Mornings)

Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule:

Part-Time Medical Assistant:
2–3 weekdays (flexible hours) + Saturday morning (half-day)

Full-Time Office Medical Assistant:
Monday–Friday (Full-Time)

Opticare Medicine PLLC is a growing internal medicine practice dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. We specialize in non-surgical treatments and injury care, with a strong focus on professionalism, efficiency, and quality service.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Scribe to support our internal medicine provider with both clinical and administrative tasks. This is a part-time position with flexible hybrid hours during the week and mandatory in-person Saturday morning shifts (half-day). Ideal for someone looking for a consistent, low-stress part-time opportunity in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Support:

Assist with rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and reviewing medication lists.

Prepare patients for exams and assist the physician as needed.

Ensure proper documentation of patient encounters.

Perform basic medical tasks like EKGs or urine dips if required.

Scribing Duties:

Accurately document the provider’s notes in real-time during patient visits.

Record patient histories, physical exam findings, lab and imaging results, and care plans.

Update EMR with orders for labs, referrals, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions under physician direction.

Administrative Support:

Follow up on test results and communicate findings to patients per provider instructions.

Help manage prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription refills.

Respond to patient messages in the portal and support front desk coordination as needed.

Qualifications:

Medical Assistant experience is a plus

Experience as a medical scribe or in EMR documentation would be preferred.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Familiarity with internal medicine or primary care workflow is a plus.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required.

Work Environment:

Collaborative, small office team with a focus on high-quality care.

EMR used: Eclinicals, Athena, Epic
