Duration: Long-term

Shift: Days, evenings & nights available for 8 hours and 12 hours

Job Description:

Seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide high-quality patient care across the Emergency Department, Inpatient Unit, and Outpatient/Ambulatory Care settings.
The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients across a broad range of medical conditions and acuity levels. The RN may be assigned to emergency, inpatient, or outpatient services based on facility needs and demonstrated clinical competency.
The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a rural healthcare environment, demonstrate sound clinical judgment, respond appropriately to changing patient conditions, and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, ancillary departments, patients, and families.

Emergency Department Responsibilities:

Perform rapid assessment and triage of patients presenting with acute illness, injury, or other emergency conditions.
Prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical presentation.
Provide emergency nursing interventions and continuous patient monitoring.
Establish and maintain IV access and administer emergency medications and fluids as ordered.
Assist with emergency procedures, resuscitation, trauma care, and stabilization.
Monitor cardiac rhythm, oxygenation, vital signs, neurological status, and other relevant clinical parameters.
Recognize signs of patient deterioration and initiate appropriate interventions.
Assist with patient transfers to higher levels of care when specialty services are required.

Inpatient Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to admitted adult and pediatric patients as assigned.
Conduct ongoing assessments and monitor patients throughout the admission.
Administer scheduled and PRN medications and treatments.
Monitor laboratory results, diagnostic findings, and patient responses to treatment.
Coordinate care with providers and multidisciplinary teams.
Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and patient referrals.
Provide discharge education and ensure patients understand medications, follow-up appointments, and treatment instructions.
Recognize changes in patient condition and escalate care appropriately.

Outpatient/Ambulatory Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care to patients in scheduled and same-day outpatient settings.
Perform patient assessments, screenings, immunizations, wound care, medication administration, and other nursing procedures as assigned.
Support preventive care, chronic disease management, health education, and patient counseling.
Assist providers during examinations and outpatient procedures.
Coordinate referrals, follow-up appointments, laboratory testing, and continuity of care.
Provide telephone/clinical triage and determine appropriate follow-up based on nursing assessment and facility protocols.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
For candidates assigned to the Emergency Department, at least 1 year of recent Emergency Department/ER nursing experience is strongly preferred
For inpatient assignments, recent Medical-Surgical/Inpatient RN experience is preferred.
For outpatient assignments, recent Ambulatory/Outpatient RN experience is preferred.
Current BLS/CPR certification from an accepted provider.
Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Strong assessment, communication, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and/or nights as required.
Previous experience working in a rural hospital, critical-access hospital, Indian Health Service, Tribal healthcare, or community health setting preferred.
