Full Job Description

Hampton Tedder Electric is looking for an organized Billing Analyst to join the team. You will support office administrative personnel as business needs dictate by providing a variety of support tasks including, but not limited to, following up on pending items, gathering information to support operations, and/or relaying concerns to supervising manager. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding accounts. A Billing Analyst must be organized and possess a serious understanding of confidentiality and data protection. The ideal candidate will be skilled in computers and detail oriented.

Hampton Tedder Electric Co. was established in 1958 and is a family owned and operated company that has a proven track record of safe, compliant and reliable service.

Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

· Provide direct billing and accounting administrative support to Principals, Project Managers, and the Accounting Team

· Inputting detailed and accurate data into company programs and systems

· Identify document discrepancies and resolve issues

· Maintain monthly spreadsheet(s) in accordance with company policy and procedure

· File maintenance and updates in compliance with company policy and procedure

· Create and manage effective communications

· Perform additional duties as assigned

· Complies with internal controls and company policies

Essential Skills:

· Accounting or billing experience – 2 years (Preferred)

· Knowledge of basic billing principles

· Time management and ability to meet strict deadlines

· Extremely detail oriented

· Intermediate to advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite required

· Ability to type 50+ WPM

· Effective written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work cohesively within a team environment

· Possess above average organization and document control skills

· Self-motivated with a desire to learn

· Ability to be discreet and maintain the security of confidential information

· In-depth knowledge of industry best-practices a plus

· Position may require ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching above shoulder level, climbing stairs, pulling, prolonged standing and/or sitting

All applicants will be tested on their level of Excel knowledge and typing speed. Candidates with Excel skill levels of basic or lower, and / or typing speed less than 50 WPM, will be excused from the testing process and will not advance on to the interview.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
