Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic General Manager to lead our retail operations with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store functions, drive sales growth, manage teams, and ensure exceptional customer service. Your leadership will inspire staff, optimize operational efficiency, and foster a vibrant shopping environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly organized, and possesses a passion for retail management and team development. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the success of our store while delivering outstanding experiences to our customers.

Duties

Lead and motivate the retail team to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service
Oversee daily store operations including inventory management, merchandising, and cash handling
Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new employees to build a high-performing team
Manage scheduling, shift assignments, and employee orientation programs
Implement effective pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to maximize sales
Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock audits, and control shrinkage through inventory management best practices
Supervise cashiering activities, POS systems operation, and customer transactions with accuracy
Maintain compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and legal regulations
Develop budgets, analyze sales reports, and manage expenses to ensure operational efficiency
Foster a positive store culture through leadership in employee development and managerial communication

Requirements

Proven management experience within the retail industry, particularly in store or sales team leadership
Strong knowledge of retail operations including POS systems, inventory control, merchandising, and pricing strategies
Excellent negotiation skills coupled with effective communication abilities in a multilingual or bilingual environment
Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff; supervisory experience preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and cash handling procedures
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently using organizational skills and time management techniques
Customer service-oriented mindset with phone etiquette skills and a focus on customer satisfaction
Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store experience is advantageous but not required
Basic math skills necessary for retail math calculations and financial analysis
Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork while maintaining operational excellence
