The Director of Talent Development & Training is responsible for leading employee training and development programs that improve performance and support company goals. This role helps employees build their skills, develop future leaders, and promotes a culture of accountability, learning, and teamwork.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Talent Development Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive talent development strategy aligned with company goals
- Create structured career paths, competency frameworks, and skill progression models across departments
- Identify organizational skill gaps and implement scalable, targeted development initiatives
- Partner with HR and leadership to support succession planning and leadership pipeline development
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and performance excellence
Training Programs
- Plan, design, and deliver training solutions for employees, customers, and partners
- Create structured learning paths for onboarding, product training, technical certification, and leadership development
- Translate technical or complex information into clear, engaging, performance-focused learning experiences
Learning Technology & Knowledge Management
- Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS) and related digital learning tools
- Manage and govern the company knowledge base to ensure content is accurate, structured, and continuously maintained
- Establish governance processes to keep training content organized, version-controlled, and current
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with department leaders to assess talent needs and performance gaps
- Translate product updates, system enhancements, and operational changes into structured enablement programs
- Support go-to-market efforts, customer onboarding, and adoption initiatives through targeted education strategies
Performance Measurement & Impact
- Define & track key metrics to see if training is effective and improving performance
- Use data to make training programs better over time
- Report results to leadership, showing impact on employees, customers, and business goals
Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team
- Establish standardized processes, workflows, and quality controls for program delivery
- Manage budget planning and resource allocation for the talent development function
- Support professional growth, succession planning, and capability expansion within the team

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
- 8+ years in learning, training, or organizational development roles
- At least 5 years managing teams and large training programs
- Experience managing knowledge platforms and related tools supporting training, documentation, and information access
- Experience in SaaS, technology, or operational software environments preferred

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or related field required
- Master’s degree or professional certifications preferred
Salary is starting at 90k commensurate with experience
