Position
We are seeking an experienced Production Manual Machinist IV to join our high-production metals processing operation. This is not a traditional parts-manufacturing machine shop position. We do not manufacture finished parts or components.
Our manual machining equipment includes lathes, mills, horizontal band saws, and vertical band saws used as part of a production process to cut, size, and separate various metals for recycling and recovering minor metals.
The ideal candidate has a strong manual machining background but is also comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven industrial manufacturing environment where safety, consistency, equipment reliability, and throughput are critical.
Compensation, Benefits, Schedule, and Location
- Compensation: The salary range is $32 to 35 per hour + Bonus
- Benefits: Generous paid time off, medical insurance, life insurance and short-term disability insurance is covered at 100% for the employee, vision, dental, and long-term disability insurance, and 401k employer matching up to 4% of salary
- Schedule: Typical work hours are 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Location: Pompano Beach, Florida
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, horizontal band saws, and vertical band saws in a production environment
- Use manual machining equipment to cut, size, and separate metals rather than manufacture finished parts
- Process a variety of metals safely and efficiently while meeting production requirements
- Measure cuts accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
- Set up and calibrate equipment to maintain consistent and accurate processing
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary
- Monitor and maintain proper coolant levels
- Change saw blades, cutting tools, and tooling as required
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine cleaning of machinery
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area
- Complete required production paperwork and documentation
- Work collaboratively with production team members to meet daily production goals
- Cross-train on multiple machines and metal-processing operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5-8 years of experience operating manual machining equipment
- Strong experience with manual lathes, mills, and band saws
- Comfortable working in a high-production manufacturing/processing environment
- Strong understanding of measuring tools, machine setup, and calibration
- Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to safely work with different types, shapes, and sizes of metal
- Ability to maintain quality and consistency while meeting production expectations
- Comfortable standing and operating equipment for extended periods
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a production team
- Great attention to details, dependable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Willingness to cross-train on multiple operations
- Basic computer skills for logging work and completing documentation

Ability to lift 50 lbs. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms as well as have the ability to stand for extended periods of time and for the duration of the shift.
Language Skills
Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language. Ability to effectively interpret instructions and communicate with other employees in a professional and respectful manner.
