Full Job Description

We are seeking a Civil Engineer / Project Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will oversee construction and paving projects from planning through completion, ensuring quality, safety, budget compliance, and timely execution. This position requires strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and the capacity to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee asphalt paving, milling, maintenance, and construction projects.
Coordinate daily field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.
Monitor project schedules, budgets, and project progress.
Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Prepare project estimates, reports, and documentation.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, and government agencies.
Identify project challenges and implement effective solutions.
Ensure compliance with applicable construction codes, regulations, and company standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Experience in construction, asphalt paving, roadway, or infrastructure projects preferred.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites throughout Puerto Rico.

Preferred Experience

Asphalt paving and milling operations.
Roadway and infrastructure construction.
Government and public sector projects.
Experience with transportation, aviation, or infrastructure projects.
Estimating, scheduling, and project management.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
