Breakfast attendant
Breakfast 6:00 to 9:30am for guests. Restock items for guests during breakfast hours.
You may need to make more waffle batter mix when needed.
Clean up
Take breakfast sign and the rolling cart for collecting trays into breakfast room.
Turn off waffle irons, put batter up, and ice blocks in freezer. Once irons are cooled off clean of with brush gently provided or a clean rag. Conditioning waffle press is done by Night Audit.
Take butter and cream cheese put in 1 fridge restock if needed.
Turn off juice machine, replace juice if needed, deep clean once a week the process for this is in the juice machine, follow the directions. There is an empty container to use as well. Take juice machine tray to be cleaned. Clean off front, sides, and under where juice gets dispensed of the juice machine.
Grab syrup containers from dining tables refill if needed. Near end of the month let containers go empty so they can get cleaned/sanitized.
Put up bagels, English muffins, muffins, and pastries. Take trays and tongs for cleaning. Wipe under bread case if needed. NO CRUMBS!
Clean out toaster bottom tray, shake out crumbs.
Refill the following if needed; jelly/jam, peanut butter, oatmeal, cereal, forks, spoons, knives, condiments, plates, bowls, cups, and napkins. Refill fridge with sandwiches, burritos, eggs, yogurt variety, and milk, then lock up. Please make sure the fridge is clean! Items with closer dates should be faced toward the front or on top! Please don’t open all the bags for the plates and bowls, leave in the bags until in use. Napkins are in the cabinet so guest stop opening them.
Wipe down all counter tops and all dining tables including in the coffee room, clean microwave if needed, and refill water. Please check shelves for crumbs and wipe down if needed.
ALL FRIDGES AND FREEZER NEED TO HAVE CLEAN SHELVES, DRAWERS, AND GRAB HANDLES! Don’t leave garbage, empty boxes, rags in the Furnace room or Fridge room! Don't leave cleaner/chemicals in the Furnace or Fridge room.
Sweeping and mopping is done every day in the breakfast room. Don’t leave crumbs behind and mop properly and thoroughly to get any sticky syrup residue. Don’t forget between tables and under chairs.
All items in the 1 fridge closest to the door need to be used first, top shelf first, then the second fridge top shelf first or what is prepped and ready. The items are labelled with 1-10 sequence or by received date please use them in that order. PAY ATTENTION TO DATES!! Items closer to expire/best used by dates need to get used first!
Juice thaw time is 12 hours. Please don’t put any in the second fridge until the ones in the juice machine are close to empty.
Pastries only have a 5-day shelf life please don’t thaw out until current ones are used.
Burritos need to stay frozen.
Houseperson Duties
Common areas
Clean the dryer vents in the laundry room. Mop in the laundry room if needed; spot mop is okay.
The lobby and entryway swept and mopped. Rugs/mats are vacuumed. The coffee station is fully stocked.
Clean bathrooms; pool, employee, lobby. Clean toilet lid, seat, rim, bowl, and bottom. Wipe down the sink counter and inside of the sink. Refill paper towels, toilet paper, and hand soap when supply is low. Wipe down mirrors and commonly touch surfaces. Mop when needed.
Remove garbage from lobby, bathrooms, fitness, pool, patio, and guest laundry. Please check the walls around the garbage cans.
Wipe down and clean handrails and windowsills. Clean glass on door windows, kickplates, and door handles throughout the hotel.
Vacuum downstairs hallways, upstairs hallways, annexes, stairways, and in-between annex to fitness/pool area.
Wipe down in guest laundry and spot mop when needed.
May also need to help work in laundry and/ or do cedar cleaning on weekends. During the busy seasons, help the housekeepers strip their rooms, stock carts, and take trash if needed. Extra cleaning that can be done; Dusting blinds, window tracks, wood partition/divider, dust inside lights down the hallways and around the hotel. Vacuum the office if open and empty. May be asked to clean at other locations.
