As a Security Officer Access Screener in Pontiac, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Monitor entry points, verify access credentials, maintain visitor and employee logs, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible, professional presence. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue and collect visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures and Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or access-control concerns.
Assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit processes while helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting a professional environment.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
