Full Job Description

The Dietary Aide is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care in a loving and safe environment for all of our residents, while helping each of them to achieve their maximum potential. We are committed to be a resource for the families of our residents who have entrusted us with their care. We will empower our staff by providing them with a motivating and supportive work environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Provide customer service in restaurant style dining atmosphere.
Set table in accordance with company standards
Greet residents and guests and serve beverages as requested
Review menu with residents and take meal order
Serve residents and guests their meal
Remove dirty dishes and utensils and clean tables as necessary
Prepare dining for meal service and stock items as necessary
Adhere to standard food safety practices
Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, floors, condiment containers and equipment
Properly label, date, and store products
Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures assuring that tableware is readily available for the next meal
May perform other duties as needed

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Food Handler certificate as required by state law
Ability to handle multiple priorities.
Must have compassion and empathy for seniors and desire to work with seniors.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
Must have the ability to read, write and follow written direction in the English language.
Ability to timely and effectively follow up on all necessary requests from residents and families.
Maintain and encourage a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner that fosters cooperation.
Ability to handle stressful situations and work well under pressure.
Ability to recognize and communicate problems with Executive Director/Food Services Director.

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
