Full Job Description

Quality Coordinator

Job Duties

Receiving Inspector Duties & Responsibilities

Possess general knowledge of Quality System Regulations and International Standards
Utilizing various inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, checks dimensions/processes on parts or raw material to ensure compliance to manufacturing drawings/blueprints/specifications
This position could be off shift
Works closely with Quality Control Inspectors, Project Engineering, Quality Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure that all manufacturing and inspection activities are performed in compliance with process work documents
Insures that in-process inspections are completed per engineering specifications during the production process
Performs mechanical, visual and dimensional inspections of parts using inspection hand tools and blueprints with dimensions.
Potentially performing CMM Programming and Inspection is possible (or previously trained in addition to experience)
Communicate with buyers on quality issues
Attach correct labeling to outside of cartons/pallets. Store product in warehouse and do transactions to adjust inventory on the system
Must be able to work from blueprints for visual dimensional inspection of purchased or manufactured products utilizing measuring instruments
Inspect to verify dimensions, including tolerances delineated on the drawing, adequate process control with procedures, standards, shop practices and workmanship including finish, tightness, burs, cleanliness, and general appearance
Match correct supplier packing slip with correct product and quantity
Inspect and test product to the documented QA plans
Enter data from receipt on computer accurately
Perform and document final inspections in accordance with customer requirements
Enter and disposition of Non-Conformance Material Reports to the standard procedures
Safely unload incoming material and separate freight by supplier and/or product type
Retrieve expedited products in a timely manner
Safely move and/or receive finished material to material handling area by skid type
Support safety and housekeeping procedures and OSHA requirements
Other duties as assigned to achieve necessary customer service goals
Presentation of inspected/received parts to various customer representatives
Perform tasks as assigned by Supervisor and/or Team Leader
Interpret and monitor routine inspections of products, rework, and products in quarantine, rejections, Comply with quality standards
Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials and components to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards
Participate in analysis statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards
Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items
Identifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issues
Performs routine quality inspections on assemblies, and piece parts
Verifies and maintains records on incoming shipments from Suppliers
Ensures inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel
Receives items into stockroom, verify counts, and distributes parts when necessary
Interact with internal/external customers and vendors on a limited basis
Perform analysis on all mechanical and electromechanical parts and assemblies to determine compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards
Plan daily course of action regarding work schedule with limited supervision
May train other Inspectors
