Full Job Description

Overview
CT Technologist / X-ray Technologist in a travel assignment within a hospital setting in Poplar, Montana, United States. Start date is 07/27/2026 for a 13-week assignment with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift is 8-hour daytime shifts, five days per week (8x5 Days). Weekly pay ranges from $1,958 to $2,075.

Responsibilities

Efficiently and accurately complete CT and/or radiographic studies as ordered by the Health Care Provider and Radiologist, following Quality Control standards and all state and federal regulations
Assess patient condition, position the patient, select imaging parameters, operate CT and X-ray equipment, and ensure optimal image quality while protecting patient safety
Verify patient identity and orders, review prior studies as needed, document procedures, and maintain accurate patient records in the PACS/RIS systems
Adhere to radiation safety principles, perform routine QC checks on imaging equipment, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and department protocols
Maintain clear communication with radiologists and referring clinicians; provide patient education about the exam process and anticipated steps
Represent the Radiology team during scheduled or unscheduled absences of the Radiology Director and assume duties as needed
On-call responsibilities include 1–2 nights per week and every 4th weekend, with prompt response to imaging needs
Participate in cross-functional tasks as required and support coverage for busy periods to maintain patient workflow

Requirements

Active professional state radiologic technologist license (or eligibility for licensure as appropriate for the assignment)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience in CT imaging and radiography preferred; strong familiarity with CT and radiographic protocols and quality control standards
Ability to work in a hospital travel assignment, including on-call shifts and weekend coverage
Proficiency with imaging modality equipment and basic PACS/RIS workflow; strong patient-care and safety focus
