Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by managing inventory, handling materials, and supporting shipping and receiving activities. This position requires a strong commitment to safety and adherence to operational protocols.

Responsibilities

Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts through effective inventory control practices.
Operate various warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and reach trucks, to facilitate the movement of goods.
Perform heavy lifting and materials handling tasks as needed to load and unload shipments.
Assist with order fulfillment by picking and packing items accurately for shipping.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for tracking inventory movements.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills in warehouse management and safety protocols.

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse distribution and management, including familiarity with heavy equipment operation.
Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance.
Proficiency in using inventory management systems such as AS400.
Experience with order picking, packing, shipping & receiving processes.
Ability to operate an order picker efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines.
Knowledge of packaging standards and techniques for various products.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for stocking and inventory control tasks.
