Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Technician to support our healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in providing treatment to a diverse patient population across outpatient, inpatient, and post-acute care settings. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a clinical environment while contributing to patient recovery and well-being. The position requires strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology, along with excellent patient service skills.

Responsibilities

Assist physical therapists with patient intake, positioning, and setup for therapy sessions
Support patients during exercises and therapeutic activities, ensuring proper technique and safety
Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions, maintaining cleanliness and organization
Monitor patient responses during therapy, reporting any concerns or adverse reactions to the therapist
Document patient progress and session details accurately in medical records
Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions and ensuring comfort throughout treatment
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow within the clinic or hospital setting
Maintain knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices

Experience

Prior experience in hospital or clinical settings preferred, especially in outpatient, inpatient, or post-acute care environments
Experience working with orthopedic, geriatrics, or sub-acute care patients is highly desirable
Knowledge of hospital medicine, acute care, and outpatient therapy practices is beneficial
Previous exposure to inpatient or outpatient clinic operations related to orthopedics or geriatrics will be advantageous
Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy is essential for effective communication within healthcare teams
Experience supporting patients with diverse needs in hospital or rehabilitation settings will strengthen candidacy
