Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Project Manager to lead and support process improvement initiatives and engineering projects within our operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing manufacturing processes, with a strong focus on cost-efficiency, quality, and timely project delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Design, analyze, and optimize processes for operations, including laser cutting, punching, forming, welding, and finishing.

· Develop robust process flows and technical documentation to support production scalability and repeatability.

· Lead technical projects from concept through implementation by defining project scope and technical specifications.

· Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

· Provide day-to-day engineering support to the production floor, troubleshoot process issues, and ensure technical integrity.

· Analyze bottlenecks and lead root cause investigations, implementing corrective actions with measurable impact.

· Collaborate with design engineers to review part designs and drawings, ensuring they are optimized for processes.

· Contribute to product development by advising on material selection, tolerance stack-ups, and fabrication constraints.

· Design and engineer custom tooling, jigs, and fixtures to improve safety, quality, and throughput.

· Create and maintain process documentation, including standard work instructions, control plans, PFMEAs, and technical reports.

· Research and propose new technologies, automation solutions, and capital equipment that align with company goals.

· Ensure all processes and documentation adhere to internal standards and external regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, OSHA).

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

· 5-7 years of experience in process or project engineering, preferably in sheet metal fabrication or related manufacturing.

· Strong knowledge of metalworking processes, including laser cutting, CNC punching, press brake forming, welding, and finishing.

· Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

· Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.

· Experience with automation integration (e.g., robotic welding, material handling systems).

· Certification in PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar.

· Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.

· Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· Ability to travel up to 25%.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
