Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, creativity, and consistency, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
Supervise kitchen staff during shifts, providing guidance on food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety procedures
Manage inventory levels efficiently, including ordering supplies, controlling costs, and minimizing waste through effective inventory control practices
Oversee food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment
Assist in menu planning by contributing innovative ideas that align with culinary trends and guest preferences
Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely delivery of quality food in line with client specifications
Lead by example in practicing excellent food handling techniques and fostering a team-oriented atmosphere focused on hospitality excellence

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production within a restaurant or hospitality setting; banquet or catering experience is highly desirable
Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience in a culinary environment
Strong background in fine dining cuisine and restaurant management practices
Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, dietary requirements, and proper food handling techniques
Skilled in inventory management, cost control, menu planning, and shift management
Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively
Familiarity with kitchen management systems and food service operations within the food industry
Passion for culinary arts combined with a commitment to hospitality excellence and serving guests with professionalism
