Full Job Description

As Senior Accountant, you are responsible for overseeing and executing the company’s financial operations.

This role is expected to actively contribute to financial performance by managing cash flow, driving collections, ensuring accurate reporting, and identifying opportunities for improvement. The Senior Accountant operates with autonomy and is accountable for meeting deadlines, maintaining attendance, and supporting the financial health of the company.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Own and maintain the accuracy and timeliness of financial data, ensuring books are current and reliable.
Independently track and manage project costs, expenses, and Work in Progress (WIP), identifying and communicating financial risks and variances.
Manage and drive billing processes, including AIA billing, ensuring timely invoicing and revenue capture.
Take ownership of accounts receivable performance, proactively driving collections and reducing aging balances.
Support and monitor company cash flow; identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
Perform and review bank and general ledger reconciliations; resolve discrepancies independently.
Maintain and oversee general ledger accuracy and proper financial classifications.
Prepare and analyze financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, WIP) and communicate insights to management.
Lead month-end close processes and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Support audits and ensure financial compliance through organized and accurate documentation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership and operations to support financial decisions.
Identify process improvements and implement efficiencies within accounting workflows.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting
Construction industry experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
Must adhere to company policies, including Drug-Free Workplace

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
