Full Job Description

Do not apply unless you have at least 10years of set up and programing experience.

BBK performance is seeking an experienced CNC set-up machinist to join our team. We are looking for a candidate with extensive machine tool knowledge who understands how to set-up and operate Horizontal, vertical mills and lathes. Equipment at this 65,000ft state of the art location consists of brand new Mazak HCN5000 Horizontal mills attached to Palletech pool system as well as a new Mazak & Okuma vertical & lathe milling centers. Products machined consist of a variety of 356 aluminum castings as well as 6061 aluminum billet. The CNC Machinist will work with senior members of the production team to manufacture various components for our extensive BBK performance product line. Candidates must have extensive set-up & programming experience as well as experience with Autocad or equivalent software. Must also have strong understanding of machine tools & consumables.

- Starting pay rate is $30-$35/hr + bonus depending on level of experience

Responsibilities:

Set-up existing & new jobs on new Palletech pallet pool system using supplied tombstones / work holdings & programs
Set up and edit existing & new jobs on Mazak & Okuma VTC vertical milling centers
Set up and edit jobs on Okuma, Mazak & Citizen lathes.
Be familiar with various tools for machining aluminum & steel
Know how to run machinery efficiently and safely.
Ensure proper 1st article and in-process inspections are met.
Run machinery by following detailed specifications and drawings.
Work alongside R&D team to set-up new products using supplied programs
Manipulate CNC machines using a variety of machine controls.
Be familiar with standard concepts and terminology used in metal manufacturing.
Work with others to complete tasks.
Provide assistance during machinery acquisition or implementation phases of new projects.
