Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and assist healthcare providers across various medical settings. This role offers opportunities to work in diverse environments including outpatient clinics, inpatient units, emergency departments, and specialty areas such as dermatology, internal medicine, and Geriatrics. The Certified Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and high-quality medical support.

Duties

Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting chief complaints
Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature
Assist with patient examinations and prepare patients for procedures or treatments
Operate EHR systems efficiently for documentation of patient encounters and medical records management
Assist with ICD coding and documentation for billing purposes
Prepare exam rooms with necessary supplies and maintain cleanliness according to infection control protocols
Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and ensuring comfort during visits

Skills

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology
Experience in dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, or outpatient clinics preferred
Familiarity with EHR systems such as Athena One and ICD coding for accurate documentation
Ability to perform vital signs collection accurately and efficiently
Experience working in high-pressure environments such as Level I or Level II trauma centers or emergency medicine units is a plus
Excellent patient service skills with compassionate communication abilities
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and clinical procedures
