Full Job Description

Sterile Processing Technician Full Time

Treasure Coast Center for Surgery has been serving the Treasure Coast area since 2000. We are a busy, multispecialty ambulatory surgery center, performing outpatient procedures in Endoscopy, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Podiatry, and Urology. We are an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International and our mission is to treat each patient and every family as if they were our own. Each patient, each family, each and every time. Position Responsibilities:

The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications;

Must be a Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
High School Diploma or Equivalent
2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
Experience with all types of sterilizers.
Knows operating room instrumentation.
Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.
