Overview

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Screw Machine Operator and become a vital part of producing high-quality precision components. In this role, you will operate and set up screw machines, ensuring efficient production while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Your expertise will contribute to delivering top-tier products that meet customer specifications and industry standards. This position offers an energetic environment where your mechanical skills and attention to detail will drive success and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor screw machines to produce precision metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications
Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to ensure accurate machining processes
Perform machine adjustments and tool changes efficiently to optimize productivity and quality
Conduct precision measurements using measuring instruments and inspection tools to verify dimensions and quality standards
Maintain a clean, safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and standard operating procedures
Troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure consistent output
Collaborate with team members on machine maintenance, calibration, and setup forming machine operation when required

Experience

Proven experience operating screw machines or similar machining equipment such as CNC lathes, milling machines, or stamping presses in a manufacturing setting
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and mechanical blueprints accurately
Familiarity with machining tools, hand tools, measurement instruments, and quality inspection techniques for precision measurement in machining processes
Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and adherence to safety protocol requirements
Ability to perform shop math calculations accurately for measurements and part tolerances
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
