MAMMOGRAPHER TECHNOLOGIST
Aspirus Divine Savior Hospital, Portage, WI
Part Time, .6 FTE, 48 hours every pay period
Day shifts on weekdays (6:45am-3:15pm)

Job Description:

The Mammographer Technologist – Breast Sonographer provides health care services, using x-rays, to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs medical imaging techniques and related procedures to demonstrate breast anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of, a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Experience/Qualifications:

Associate degree in Radiology, or sufficient on-the-job training to meet ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification requirements.
- Meets FDA Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) mandated requirements.
- A minimum of one year of clinical experience in diagnostic imaging is beneficial to enhance and develop skills preferred but not required.
ARRT (R) required.
ARRT (M) required.
State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer license (WI Locations only)
Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress.
Meets and maintains the FDA Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements.
Analytical skills are necessary to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of mammography techniques and methods to obtain quality images.
Site specific competencies in protocols, equipment, computer systems and applications.
