Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC-HMC (Computer Numerical Control - Horizontal Machining Center) Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining HMC machines to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, machine operation, and blueprint interpretation will be essential to ensure efficient production workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced industrial equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment dedicated to excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC horizontal machining centers, ensuring optimal machine performance and adherence to production schedules
Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and modify existing programs as needed for different projects
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documents to accurately produce parts within specified tolerances
Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and other measuring instruments to verify part quality
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, or mechanical faults promptly to minimize downtime
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety standards in production and handling industrial equipment responsibly
Collaborate with team members on tooling setup, fabrication processes, and quality control to meet production goals efficiently

Skills

Proficiency in CNC programming and CAM programming for various machining operations including milling, lathe work, and drilling
Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems
Experience with mechanical blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately
Skilled in operating shop tools such as presses (including stamping press and press brake machines), forklifts, hand tools, and packaging equipment
Familiarity with industrial equipment troubleshooting and maintenance procedures
Ability to read shop math, perform basic calculations, and apply GD&T principles for precise machining
Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments and proper use of precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers
Experience working in manufacturing facilities with a focus on quality control, materials handling, assembly line processes, welding, and fabrication techniques
Competence in SolidWorks or similar CAD software for part design review or modifications is a plus
