Full Job Description

Director of F&A - Manufacturing - Job Responsibilities:

This role is for an experienced Director of F&A with leadership experience for a smaller, high growth, innovative, food manufacturing company, rapidly approaching mid-sized ($70M+ going to $100M+ revenue ) Includes management of the F&A team and Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting, including full cycle Financial Statements, Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, P&L and Balance Sheet Accounting. The role includes interaction with executive, operational and other shared service functions.

The key capabilities of the candidate will include managerial skills, manufacturing company experience, Cost Accounting knowledge and experience, intelligence and problem solving capabilities as well as analytical and critical thinking capabilities, coupled with very strong attention to detail, and excellent dependability to ensure job is done correct and on time in deadline driven environment. 7+ years of Finance and Accounting in a Manufacturing Company environment including Cost of Goods Sold and Cost Accounting Experience strongly preferred, and 10+ years of Accounting and Finance required. Broader operational Accounting experience and a propensity for ERP systems, financial analysis and technical aptitude, as well as willingness and drive to learn and grow in a dynamic environment with growth opportunities.

The position reports directly to the CFO and has the opportunity to engage with and interact with numerous levels within the organization. A great leadership and learning opportunity for the right candidate.

Primary Job Duties:

Reports directly to CFO
Will be responsible for full scope of F&A management across multiple plant locations in the US, including managing Budgeting and Forecasting processes, oversight for ERP, Month End Financial Close Processes including full close cycle accounting to include Journal Entries, Accruals, P&L and Cost analysis and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Will manage staff of 6 and will include, supervision, training and learning of Controller, Sr. Accountants, AR, AP and inventory control team members.
The Role includes financial and accounting analysis for P&L and BS, journal entries, reconciliations, COGS and Inventory management, as well as ad hoc financial and accounting projects as needed.
The role will have a strong focus on Cost due to the manufacturing nature of the company.
Supports the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial analysis
Supervises bi-weekly payroll process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

7+ years accounting experience in a manufacturing industry
5+ years of Cost Accounting in manufacturing
8+ years of Finance and Accounting management experience
Strong Budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling experience
Working Capital management experience
Strong MS Excel capabilities including Logical Functions, Pivot Tables, and Data manipulation capabilities and proficiency with MS Office Suite.
Attention to Detail, Deadline-Oriented, Excellent attendance and dependability, Reconciliation and analysis capabilities, Problem Solving skills, Process Improvement oriented, Research capable, Time Management, Data Entry Management, and ability to operate efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related quantitative field.

Pay: $135,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
