Crooker Construction is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Autobody Technician/Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion and hands-on experience in various aspects of auto body work and painting. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and equipment. The Autobody Technician/Painter will play a crucial role in ensuring that trucks and equipment are restored to high-quality expectations from start to finish.
This is a full-time, year-round position. The budget pay for this position ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 and will vary depending on how well an applicant's skills and experience align with the job description.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform auto body repairs on trucks and equipment. Including but not limited to: disassembly and reassembly, dent removal, panel replacement, prime and paint, rust repair, along with wet sanding and buffing.
- Utilize hand tools and paint equipment for painting and finishing work.
- Collaborate with team members to assess damage and determine the best repair methods.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, always adhering to safety protocols.
Experience
- Previous experience in auto-body repair and painting is a must.
- Strong skills in using hand tools and equipment specific to the autobody and painting trade. Including grinders and sanders, paint sprayers, understanding paint codes and mixing paint.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs and restorations.
- A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is essential for this role.
