Full Job Description

Bisson Moving & Storage, located in Westbrook, ME, is seeking to add a Move Coordinator to assist in our household goods division. Bisson is a growth driven family-operated company.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Move Coordinator is responsible for managing household goods and commercial relocations for Bisson customers, including select Atlas and Military accounts. This role serves as the primary point of contact throughout the entire moving process—from order initiation through completion—ensuring a seamless experience and high customer satisfaction.

The position requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Serve as the main point of contact for customers, providing timely updates and support
Answer multi-line phone systems, route calls, greet visitors, and manage office traffic
Maintain and update Moving Consultant appointment calendars
Manage and track inbound web leads, including Atlas and company website inquiries
Coordinate and register all move types (local, commercial, interstate)
Collaborate with Atlas headquarters and partner agents
Prepare and distribute all required move documentation to customer
Review and verify paperwork from customers, dispatch, and sales teams
Collect necessary customer documentation, payments, and pre-move details
Accurately audit shipments and process payments
Maintain storage account records and archive documentation
Coordinate with warehouse staff regarding inventory, vault counts, and shipment weights
Resolve customer concerns by identifying issues, implementing solutions, and following up
Ability to foster professional, cooperative relationships with internal teams, leadership, and customers to support a positive service experience
Support general office operations (filing, scanning, e-docs, mail handling)

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 1+ year of customer service experience required
Experience with multi-line phone systems and general office equipment
Strong verbal communication skills with a professional phone presence
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe applications
Ability to quickly learn company-specific systems
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Visual acuity for detailed computer-based work

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Office location in Westbrook
Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Fast-paced office environment with multiple priorities.
May occasionally work in excess of eight hours during peak seasons.
