Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Job description:

Capital Claims Management ("CCM") is a boutique insurance claims adjusting firm providing claims handling/defense and program management services to insurance carriers. In this role, you will be primarily adjusting third-party claims associated with Professional Liability (E&O) and Commercial General Liability. CCM provides a welcoming environment committed to developing and accentuating the talents of each team member. We are currently seeking interested entry-level Claims Adjuster candidates. Training will be provided. Claims Adjusters will review and determine coverage, investigate, analyze liability, and resolve assigned claims.

*** THIS IS NOT A REMOTE JOB OPPORTUNITY***

Responsibilities:

1. Review and formulate coverage positions by reviewing contracts and insurance policies. Prepare Declination of Coverage and Reservation of Rights letters if required.

2. Interview and correspond with insureds, claimants, and witnesses to complete liability investigations. Prepare Denial of Liability letters if required.

3. Calculate, maintain reserves, and approve payment of claims within a specific monetary limit.

4. Negotiate and settle losses within given authority.

Qualifications:

1. Prior Insurance, Banking, Legal or Accounting experience is preferred.

2. Excellent customer focus and conflict resolution skills.

3. Superb written and verbal communication skills.

4. Deadline and detail-oriented with time management skills.

5. A Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred.

6. Experience and knowledge of residential construction are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year. Salary is largely dependent on experience.
