This is a customer service position, we dont 'sell' people, we want to help them create embracing spaces that make them happy to refer us and return to our store regularly.

We have great customers, and love them to come back often, so we hope to hire someone who connects with and remembers our many regulars.

We are a full lifestyle store offering modern design, on trend new items, vintage, makers, antiques and industrial items.

We welcome your positive attitude, friendly energy, quick thinking, and years of customer service experience.

We are a true Portland store and we genuinely appreciate our employees and customers! Our team knows that follow-through makes life easier, so the job requires you be responsible to, and respectful of, other team members while also independently doing your job well.

Applicant must be able to:

Connect with customers to help assess their desires, ask custom questions per situation, give them your attention comfortably, while giving them personal space and communicating clearly, supportively and honestly.

Understand a full store of inventory and how it can work together for the customer

Walk and lift furniture. While assisting customers we walk approx 7+ miles a day.

Support your teammates with detailed listening, quick creative thinking and solid follow through.

Work 2 weekend and 2 weekdays

We are looking for:

Responsible, happy, efficient, smart, observant people with excellent work ethics. You understand personal challenges and dramas do not belong in the workplace and interpersonal relationships with co-workers and customers are thoughtful and supportive. Your team mates are adult professionals who enjoy a positive, mature, friendly workplace.

Additionally:

We move furniture every day so please Only Apply if you are able to comfortably lift furniture items properly and regularly.

Shifts are 8:30-4:30 and 10:30-6:30

This position is two weekend and two weekday shifts. It will remain steady for you to consistently plan your life, or work another job.

Each shift includes a half hour of side work before opening or after closing. Everyone on every shift, does side work to keep the store clean and running smoothly.

We are positive, direct and thoughtful, honest and respectful, as owners, so we are looking to hire the same. We want to support our existing team with adult professionals they want to go to work with, or work a shift after. We don't have space for slackers, prima donnas, gossips, procrastinators, excuse makers, or glass half empty types.

*Students considered if you can provide a dependable class schedule of the same days each term, and can work both weekend days. In return we can guarantee a constant/consistent schedule with three days off a week, two in a row.
