Title: Tax Navigator

Salary: $27/hr

Tax Navigator

This position assists low-income participants upload their tax information into the CASH Oregon system.

What You’ll be Doing

· Schedule, set up, and facilitate virtual and onsite educational sessions for internal and community outreach events.

· Facilitate financial education courses.

· Address general questions about tax preparation.

· Work with participants to ensure they have all the needed tax documents.

· As needed, provide information to participants on how to obtain missing tax documents.

· Assist participants in uploading their documents to the CASH Oregon system.

· As needed, meet with participants on an individual basis to assist them with more complex cases.

· Maintain participant data tracking reports.

· Collaborate with tax preparation providers as needed.

What You’ll Need

· High school diploma or equivalent is required.

· Bilingual English/Spanish is required.

· Experience assisting people with resource navigation is preferred but not required.

· Tax preparation knowledge/experience is useful but not required.

· Within 6 months of taking the position, must successfully complete certification training.

Supplemental Information

This position requires the use of a personal vehicle and a minimum level of insurance coverage for that vehicle.

· Personal liability insurance with $50,000 for bodily injury per person, with an aggregate of $100,000 per accident, or

· $100,000 combined single limit (bodily injury and property damage combined)

Pay: $27.00 per hour
