Full Job Description

Physical Therapist- Minimum Qualifications

Education

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent professional degree required.

Licensure & Certifications

Current, unrestricted license to practice Physical Therapy in the United States.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Must maintain all required professional licenses and certifications throughout contract performance. The contractor is responsible for ensuring all personnel are fully trained, licensed, certified, and qualified.

Experience

Experience evaluating and treating orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries.
Experience developing individualized rehabilitation and return-to-duty programs.
Experience with manual therapy and evidence-based rehabilitation techniques.
Experience working with tactical athletes, military personnel, or other high-performance populations is highly desirable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive musculoskeletal evaluations and functional movement assessments.
Diagnose movement dysfunctions and identify injury risk factors.
Develop individualized rehabilitation and recovery plans.
Provide evidence-based treatment for acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries.
Perform manual therapy techniques within the Physical Therapist's scope of practice.
Develop return-to-duty progression plans.
Coordinate care with Athletic Trainers, Strength & Conditioning Coaches, Psychologists, and Government medical personnel.
Recommend referrals for imaging or specialty care when appropriate.
Maintain complete and accurate patient documentation in Government medical systems.
Educate operators on injury prevention, recovery, mobility, flexibility, and self-care techniques.
Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and Human Performance meetings.
Support program outcome tracking and performance reporting.
Assist with annual performance assessments and injury surveillance efforts consistent with the Human Performance Program.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong understanding of orthopedic evaluation and rehabilitation.
Knowledge of biomechanics, exercise physiology, and movement science.
Ability to develop evidence-based rehabilitation and performance enhancement programs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary performance team.
Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills.

Work Schedule

Location: 125 Special Tactics Squadron, Portland Air National Guard Base, Portland, Oregon.
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM.
Telework: Not authorized.
Must be available to support quarterly drills, annual training, and provide 24/7 on-call support during domestic response crises when required by the contract.

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
