Full Job Description

Do you dream about scanning paper documents all day? Of course not. That would be weird. But if you enjoy putting on headphones, getting into a rhythm, and staying productive while working alongside a friendly team, this role might be a great fit. Not to mention the free coffee (always important).

Recordsforce is an employee owned, established and trusted document digitization company with 25 years of experience. We handle conversions of all types of physical documents to digital, from mailroom services to records and archives for businesses across many industries. In this role, you’ll be responsible for scanning high volumes of paper documents in adherence to each client’s specifications and deadlines.

This isn’t a traditional desk job—it’s a production-focused role in an office setting. You’ll spend your day operating a high-speed scanner in a structured, fast-paced environment where accuracy and consistency matter. The work is repetitive and requires sustained focus, speed, and attention to detail. While our office atmosphere is casual (customer service voice not required), we operate with clear expectations and a strong sense of accountability. You'll be part of a team that communicates regularly, supports one another, and keeps the day movin’ and groovin’. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in getting the details right, works efficiently, and contributes to our respectful and collaborative vibe.

In this role you will:

Read and follow specific instructions to adjust scanning software settings, scan documents, and save completed files to the correct location
Quality review digital images for clarity
Perform routine troubleshooting such as cleaning, calibrating, or clearing paper jams from the scanner
Use internal systems to clock in/out and track work and metrics on a daily basis
Use Google tools to communicate and access resources
Occasionally handle and scan sensitive documents, which may include exposure to graphic or distressing content (e.g., certain law enforcement or medical records)

Requirements:

Ability to lift at least 25 pounds (you will be working with bins or boxes of paper documents)
Comfortable sitting or standing and performing repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and quality throughout the day
Ability to pass Background & Credit Check
High School Diploma or GED
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed, client-specific instructions
Reliable and self-motivated, with a strong sense of accountability for individual and team output
Positive, team-oriented attitude with willingness to collaborate and support coworkers
Comfortable learning and navigating multiple software programs used for scanning
Clear communication skills and willingness to ask questions when needed
Natural problem solver who holds great patience for the expected unexpected issues that can come with working w/ software and machines
