Full Job Description

Description:

Orchard Ridge Senior Living is seeking a strategic, hands-on Chief Financial Officer to join our executive leadership team. As a stand-alone, faith-based nonprofit senior living community, our CFO plays a unique role—balancing day-to-day financial operations with long-term financial strategy. This is an opportunity for a leader who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while partnering with the Executive Director, leadership team, Finance Committee, and Board to guide the financial future of a mission-driven organization.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic financial leadership, forecasting, treasury management, and long-term financial planning.
Lead budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, financial statements, and audit coordination.
Develop quarterly forecasts and deliver meaningful financial reporting to leadership, the Finance Committee, and Board of Directors.
Manage Medicaid reimbursement, HUD budgeting, resident billing, banking relationships, and investment strategies.
Partner with department leaders to improve financial performance, operational efficiency, and technology utilization.
Lead risk management initiatives, insurance oversight, and internal financial controls.
Support organizational growth through financial stewardship, strategic initiatives, and fundraising efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
Progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in healthcare, senior living, nonprofit, or a similarly complex organization.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, payroll, and internal controls.
Experience presenting financial information to executive leadership and governing boards.
Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Passion for serving older adults and supporting a mission-driven organization.
