We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Account Manager with Strong relationship-building and customer service skills, to own client relationships, guide marketing strategy, coordinate internal teams, and ensure clients receive exceptional service and measurable results.

Important: Your Role
This is a client-facing account management and strategy position, not a media buyer, PPC specialist, or hands-on Google Ads role.

You will be the primary contact for clients, communicating by phone, email, Google Meet, Zoom, and reviews. Much of your day involves leading meetings, reviewing performance, answering questions, setting expectations, and keeping clients informed.

You will understand goals, provide strategic direction, recommend next steps, communicate priorities to internal specialists, and coordinate campaigns to completion.

Success requires communication, organization, strategic thinking, project management, client service, and relationship-building skills.

This is a hands-on role in client success, strategic account management, and project coordination, not tactical campaign execution.

What You’ll Do

As the client’s primary point of contact, you will:

Own a book of client accounts and build trusted, long-term partnerships.
Communicate regularly with clients through phone, email, Google Meet, and scheduled strategy calls.
Lead client meetings, performance reviews, planning sessions, and project updates.
Understand each client’s business goals, priorities, challenges, and opportunities.
Review marketing performance and analytics, translating data into clear insights and recommendations.
Explain campaign results in a way that is understandable, relevant, and actionable for clients.
Develop strategic campaign roadmaps, testing plans, and growth recommendations.
Identify opportunities to improve performance, expand services, and grow client accounts.
Coordinate omnichannel marketing initiatives across paid search, paid social, SEO, creative, web, programmatic, and other digital platforms.
Brief internal specialists on client goals, priorities, deliverables, and strategic direction.
Manage projects from beginning to end, including scope, timelines, responsibilities, approvals, and deliverables.
Ensure launches, optimizations, creative refreshes, and tests are completed accurately and on schedule.
Maintain organized account documentation, communication records, timelines, and next steps.
Proactively address client questions, concerns, and potential risks.
Stay current on marketing trends and platform developments, then translate those changes into meaningful client recommendations.

Required Experience and Skills

2–5 years of agency-side account management, client success, or digital marketing strategy experience.
Experience owning and managing a portfolio of client accounts.
Excellent client communication skills, with the ability to be clear, confident, responsive, and consultative.
Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
Experience leading client calls, presenting results, and managing expectations.
Strong working knowledge of Google Ads and omnichannel digital marketing.
Ability to interpret campaign performance without being responsible for day-to-day platform execution.
Understanding of attribution, marketing analytics, and performance storytelling for small and medium-sized businesses.
Strong digital marketing project management experience in an agency or multi-client environment.
Ability to coordinate internal specialists and keep multiple projects moving forward.
Excellent organization and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, conversations, and priorities without dropping details.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using AI tools, automation platforms, or LLM-assisted workflows for marketing analysis or content support.
Experience working with automotive repair businesses or other local service companies.
Familiarity with geofencing, programmatic advertising, CTV/OTT, and digital audio platforms.
Google Ads, GA4, Meta, or other relevant platform certifications.

Location

This is a full-time, in-person position based in our Columbia, Maryland office, with occasional travel as needed.
