Summary

The Financial Advisor serves first as a client relationship manager with some business development responsibilities. Their role is responsible for growing and deepening client relationships while actively contributing to the firm’s growth. By leading with our core values, they foster relationships and identify opportunities that benefit the client.

Using our holistic and consultative planning process, the Advisor prioritizes ongoing client advisory support to achieve their comprehensive planning needs. The Advisor serves in a way that naturally results in client referrals, new client opportunities, and center-of-influence engagement.

This individual partners closely with senior advisors while allowing them the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and prospects. Success in this role requires a planning-first mindset, the ability to translate complex financial strategies into clear, actionable guidance, and a passion for client service and support.

Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management & Advisory Support (35-60%)

Partner with senior advisors to develop and deliver customized financial plans and investment strategies aligned with each client’s goals.
Serve as a primary or co-advisor for assigned clients, delivering ongoing financial planning, investment guidance, and proactive relationship management.
Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive financial plans aligned with client goals, values, and life stages.
Lead and participate in client review meetings, including preparation, presentation, and follow-up. Field incoming client communications and proactively reach out to clients as necessary.
Monitor portfolios, planning assumptions, and progress toward goals; recommend adjustments as needed.
Coordinate with internal team and external partners across tax, estate planning, insurance, and retirement plan consulting to deliver holistic planning advice.
Maintain accurate client records, documentation, and communication within CRM, eMoney, and other planning systems.
Partner with operations and service teams to deliver a seamless, high-touch client experience
Stay current on market trends, regulatory updates, and industry best practices impacting financial planning and investment strategy
Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, scalability, and consistency across the advisory practice
Ensure all client interactions, recommendations, and documentation meet fiduciary, compliance, and regulatory standards

Operational Excellence & Team Collaboration (10-35%)

Ensure timely and accurate completion of administrative and operational workflows.
Support internal initiatives to streamline client service processes and enhance client experience.
Assist in training team members on firm systems and process, client service protocols, and best practices.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistency, compliance, and excellence across all client touchpoints.

Business Development & Growth (10-35%)

Leading with our purpose and core values, proactively contribute to firm growth through expansion of existing client relationships, referral cultivation, and new client acquisition.
Build and maintain relationships with centers of influence (e.g., CPAs, attorneys, business owners, retirement plan sponsors) to support long-term pipeline development. Introduce COIs to BCA for ongoing partnership.
Lead and participate in prospect meetings, discovery conversations, and proposal presentations using a consultative, goals-based approach rooted in core values.
Collaborate with Senior Advisor on outreach strategies, educational events, networking opportunities, client engagement initiatives, and thought leadership efforts.
Identify opportunities to introduce additional planning, investment, or retirement solutions that align with client needs and firm capabilities.

Skills & Abilities

3+ years experience in financial advisory, private client services, or a closely related financial services role.
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation or a willingness to pursue with firm support preferred.
Active FINRA Series 6, 7 and 63, 65, and/or 66 licenses, preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Demonstrated commitment to goals-based financial planning and fiduciary client service.
Commitment to providing strong customer service experiences for all types of individuals and households.
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple client relationships, projects, and deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with financial planning tools (e.g., eMoney) and CRM systems
