Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate and/or Wills, Trusts & Estate Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our real estate practice area, estate planning, probate, and trust administration processes. Your expertise will help ensure accurate document preparation, thorough legal research, and efficient case management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex legal matters, collaborate with experienced attorneys, and contribute to clients’ peace of mind during important life transitions. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, legal research proficiency, and a passion for delivering exceptional legal support.

Duties

Prepare and review closing documents, contracts, and title documents
Coordinate real estate closings and communicate with clients, lenders, and agents
Conduct title and lien searches
Manage transaction files from contract through closing
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Assist attorneys with drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related estate planning documents with precision and attention to detail
Manage case files using legal case management systems and document management systems to ensure accuracy and accessibility
Review and organize legal documents including pleadings, correspondence, and court filings
Support probate and trust administration processes by preparing necessary filings, notices, and reports
Interview clients to gather pertinent information for estate planning or litigation cases while maintaining professional etiquette
Coordinate with clients and external parties to schedule meetings while managing multiple projects simultaneously

Skills

Proven experience in paralegal roles within real estate and/or estate planning
Strong knowledge of estate planning principles including wills and trusts
Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining meticulous attention to detail
Effective communication skills for interviewing clients, drafting correspondence, and collaborating with attorneys and external stakeholders
Experience with legal administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, transcription, proofreading, and document review
Familiarity with project management practices within a law office setting to ensure timely completion of tasks
Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while demonstrating professionalism in all interactions
