Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented PLC Programmer to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining programmable logic controllers (PLCs) that automate and optimize manufacturing processes. Your expertise will help drive efficiency, ensure safety, and support continuous improvement initiatives across production lines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge robotics, automation systems, and advanced manufacturing technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Develop, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems using industry-standard languages and tools, ensuring seamless integration with machinery and robotics.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers and automation specialists to interpret schematics, blueprints, and control system diagrams for accurate implementation.
Support robotics programming efforts, including Fanuc robots and vision inspection systems, to enhance automation capabilities.
Conduct root cause analysis on system failures or inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and AutoCAD or SolidWorks drawings to facilitate system installation and maintenance.
Perform system testing, validation, and debugging to ensure compliance with safety standards such as CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices)
Assist in the development of control system documentation and provide technical support for tooling, machining processes, and distributed control systems.

Requirements

Proven experience programming PLCs using platforms such as Allen-Bradley or Siemens; familiarity with distributed control systems is a plus.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings effectively.
Ability to perform root cause analysis on complex automation issues quickly and efficiently.
Proficiency in AutoCAD or SolidWorks for system design and troubleshooting purposes.
