Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospital campuses, 31 outpatient centers, clinics, emergency rooms, urgent care sites, along with our 17,000 employees, more than 3,000 affiliated physicians and 2,000 volunteers.

This is an Exempt Full Remote position

Out-of-Area (OOA) Hire Notice: All onboarding, will be managed by Superlanet, a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) and employer of record.

This position is based in La Jolla CA and is offered as a remote opportunity. Candidates must reside within the San Diego metropolitan area or in one of the approved out-of-area (OOA) states listed below under Work Location Eligibility. This role is supported through Scripps Health’s partnership with Superlanet, a professional employer organization (PEO).

As a Compensation Analyst, you'll partner with HR and business leaders to ensure our compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and aligned with organizational goals.

In this role, you'll assist with the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, maintain job descriptions and job architecture, and evaluate positions to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity. You'll support salary administration and performance-based compensation processes, review pay actions for compliance with organizational policies and conduct job evaluations and classification analyses.

You'll also help ensure compliance with FLSA, the California Fair Pay Act, and other applicable compensation regulations, participate in market pricing and third-party salary surveys, and contribute to salary structure updates. Leveraging HRIS and compensation data, you'll provide meaningful insights that help attract, retain, and reward exceptional talent while supporting Scripps Health's mission of delivering outstanding patient care.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

Three years of experience in Human Resources, or appropriate combination of education and experience.
Strong analytical and problem solving ability, with attention to detail.
Excellent written/verbal communication and relationship building skills.
Solid understanding of computer systems and database management
Highly proficient with MS Office suite, especially Excel and Access.
Able to adapt in a fast-paced continually changing environment, while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

This position is remote, but only open to candidates who reside in: San Diego Metropolitan Area or one of the following U.S. states:
AL, AR, AZ, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, WY

Candidates who reside in the approved U.S. states would be considered Out of Area (OOA) and Scripps Health partners with professional employer organization (PEO) Superlanet.

Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
Experience in compensation, HR analytics, or human resources within a healthcare or other highly regulated environment.
Knowledge of healthcare compensation practices, market pricing methodologies, salary structures, and job evaluation principles.
Experience implementing a cloud-based HCM preferred.
