Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Technician 2 - Metrology Inspector to join our team in San Diego, CA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our measurement systems and instruments. If you have a passion for quality assurance and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections and calibrations of measurement instruments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
PCMM Inspections
Reverse Engineering
Tool Building, Assembly
First Article Inspection Reports
Perform detailed analysis and documentation of measurement data, identifying trends and anomalies.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement-related issues.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, calibrations, and repairs.
Participate in internal audits and support external audits as needed.
Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in metrology.

Qualifications

Metrology Technician
Dimensional Inspection Technician
Portable CMM/Faro Arm Programmer/Verisurf Software
Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance or metrology.
Strong understanding of measurement principles and calibration techniques.
Proficient in using measurement tools and software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
