Position Overview

North County Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Scheduling Coordinator to become the first impression of our practice. In this role, you'll be responsible for creating an exceptional patient experience from the very first phone call while managing the provider schedules, coordinating patient communications, and supporting the overall success of our practice.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys helping others, and takes pride in keeping schedules organized and patients well cared for.

Schedule

Monday – Thursday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Answer incoming phone calls and provide outstanding customer service.
Schedule new and existing patients using established block scheduling protocols.
Collect all necessary patient information during scheduling.
Coordinate new patient appointments, including obtaining records, referrals, and required paperwork.
Track and report new patient metrics, referral sources, and monthly growth statistics.
Deliver a warm, welcoming experience both over the phone and in person.
Monitor and adjust provider schedules to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Manage patient recare and contact unscheduled patients.
Verify dental insurance benefits prior to appointments.
Respond promptly to phone calls, voicemails, emails, text messages, and other patient communications.
Ensure patient demographic, insurance, and health information is accurate and up to date.
Work collaboratively with the clinical and administrative teams to provide a seamless patient experience.

Qualifications

1 year of dental front office, scheduling, or patient care coordination experience required.
Excellent customer service and telephone communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable using computers and electronic dental records.
Positive attitude with a team-first mentality.
Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with the willingness to learn and grow within the practice.
