Full Job Description

Purchasing Agent

Richmond based manufacturer since 1965 going through significant growth. We are looking to add a couple of purchasing agents for immediate full time employment.

Requirements

· Must be a US citizen

· 5 to 7 years in purchasing role

· Experience purchasing electrical materials – working knowledge of electrical materials

· Minimum 2 year College degree required

· Strong analytical and negotiation skills, detail oriented

· Excellent communication and business relations skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & experience with ERP systems

· Team oriented and able to work with others - strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

· Working closely with Project Teams and other Purchasing / Business Office personnel.

· Research, compare, & select most suitable suppliers based on price, quality, & availability

· Negotiate price & delivery with vendors

· Prepare & process purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve issues with vendors

· Maintain detailed records of order history to include quotes & communication with vendors

· Timely process material RMA to vendors.

· Building & maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations

· Ensuring all procurement activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies

Pay: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
