Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records and Supply Clerk to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will manage and organize patient medical records, ensure accurate documentation, and oversee the supply inventory within the medical facility. Your proactive approach will support clinical operations, uphold health information management standards, and ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to efficient healthcare delivery through meticulous records management and supply coordination.

Responsibilities

Maintain and organize patient medical records in accordance with health information management standards and privacy policies.
Update electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately, ensuring all patient data is complete, current, and compliant with health regulation policies.
Retrieve, file, and archive medical records efficiently for quick access by authorized personnel.
Manage inventory of medical supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained and supplies are properly stored and labeled.
Process supply requests, track usage, and coordinate with vendors for timely restocking of essential items.
Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy protection laws and clinical confidentiality policies during all record handling activities.
Assist with medical coding and billing processes related to patient records to support revenue cycle management efforts.

Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for record keeping and reporting purposes.
Strong knowledge of health information management principles, including electronic health records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR software. (Point Click Care)
Familiarity with health regulation policies, healthcare privacy laws, and medical confidentiality standards.
Experience working in a medical office environment with understanding of medical terminology and records management procedures.
Excellent customer service skills to assist healthcare staff and patients with record requests or supply inquiries.
Ability to adhere strictly to clinical confidentiality policies while managing sensitive information.
Knowledge of medical coding practices, revenue cycle management processes, and health information regulatory compliance to ensure accurate billing and documentation.
