Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Office Administrator to oversee our financial records while assisting with daily business operations. This is a hands-on position where no two days are exactly alike. The ideal candidate enjoys multitasking, communicates professionally, and is comfortable wearing multiple hats when business needs require it.
Our workload varies throughout the year, with peak and slower seasons. During the summer months, we offer greater scheduling flexibility while maintaining excellent customer service and business operations.
Compensation for this position is based on experience and overall productivity.
Responsibilities
- Manage company bookkeeping using QuickBooks and/or QuickBooks Online
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial records
- Maintain accurate financial reports and bookkeeping records
- Coordinate directly with our CPA for tax preparation and financial reporting
- Prepare and manage sales tax filings, including online sales tax submissions for multiple states
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Maintain organized financial documentation and records
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls professionally
- Assist with customer service as needed
- Support shipping, receiving, and packaging during busy periods
- Assist with general office administration and other operational tasks as business needs require
- Work directly with the owner to help improve efficiency and support company growth
Qualifications
- Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and/or QuickBooks Online
- Experience working with CPAs and preparing financial information for tax reporting
- Familiarity with multi-state online sales tax filing and compliance preferred
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Professional phone etiquette and excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook and general computer systems
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and assist in multiple areas of the business
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to be a team player

Pay: $20.00 - $32.70 per hour
