Full Job Description

Metrohm Spectro is seeking a Marketing Manager to support our scientific instrument and spectroscopy component businesses based at our Plainsboro, NJ facility. This role involves developing and executing marketing programs that support Metrohm's Raman spectroscopy, process spectroscopy, OEM, and IPS laser businesses. The role combines product marketing, scientific communications, campaign management, digital marketing, and commercial support to drive customer engagement, lead generation, and product adoption worldwide.

In this role, you work with our team of product managers and application scientists to develop marketing messages, create supporting content, and ensure market adoption through a multichannel marketing plan that drives brand awareness and customer responses. This leader also facilitates internal communications about marketing activities and coordinates our participation in trade shows and local events.

Curiosity about science and technology is required for this position, and some college coursework in chemistry, biology, and physics is preferred. Above all, you need to be a self-starting, creative professional who can take on the challenge of organizing a multi-channel campaign, coordinating deliverables, and conveying a simple message about a complex product to a technical audience. You should be comfortable with SEO and online advertising to start conversations with customers and use automated emails and other marketing tools to nurture them toward a purchase.

Your role is holistic; you will be responsible for paid online advertising, our web presence (including our e-commerce platforms), tradeshows, social media, and local and regional events. You will work as part of a team and supplement your efforts with external providers as needed. Experience in an agency or working with an agency is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Product Marketing

Marketing Manager develops and execute global product launch campaigns.
Support positioning, messaging, and value proposition development.
Marketing Manager coordinates launch activities with product management, sales, and regional marketing teams.
Develop sales enablement tools and product collateral.

Marketing Communications

Marketing Manager create and manage application notes, technical articles, newsletters, advertorials, webinars, and scientific marketing content.
Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate technical concepts into customer-focused communications.
Support conference activities including abstracts, presentations, and promotional materials.

Digital Marketing

Marketing Manager manages website content, campaign landing pages, and online marketing assets.
Coordinate SEO, digital advertising, and content deployment.
Collaborate with external agencies and internal web teams to maintain and improve our online presence.

Campaign Management

Marketing Manager plans, execute, and measure integrated marketing campaigns.
Coordinate content delivery across email, web, social media, trade publications, and events.
Track campaign effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Marketing Analytics

Marketing Manager maintain marketing dashboards and performance reports.
Analyze campaign metrics, lead generation data, and engagement outcomes.
Present results and recommendations during monthly business reviews.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with product managers, commercial teams, global marketing organizations, and external vendors.
Coordinate activities supporting OEM, industrial, scientific research, and process spectroscopy markets.
Support strategic marketing initiatives and competitive positioning activities.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:

BS Degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar areas required.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a generalist marketing position or similar role, with proven ability to manage large projects.
Experience marketing analytical instrumentation or technical products.
Strong scientific writing and presentation skills.
Experience with digital marketing platforms, CRM systems, and marketing analytics tools.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a global environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present ideas and concepts to various levels in the organization and to customers.
Strong attention to detail and great organizational skills.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
