Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our Trial & Insurance Defense Practice Group in our Princeton, New Jersey office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney who enjoys managing civil litigation matters while working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

The successful candidate will represent insurance carriers, businesses, municipalities, and individuals in a diverse civil litigation practice spanning a wide range of liability matters. We are looking for an attorney who is confident handling cases independently while partnering with experienced litigators to develop effective strategies and achieve successful outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities

Manage a civil litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
Defend insurance carriers, businesses, and individuals in matters involving negligence, premises liability, product liability, governmental liability, professional liability, employment practices liability, and other general liability claims.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other litigation-related documents. Conduct legal research and prepare written legal analyses.
Handle all phases of discovery, including written discovery, depositions, and expert discovery.
Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and other court proceedings.
Develop case strategy and provide timely reporting and recommendations to clients and insurance carriers.
Prepare matters for trial and collaborate with partners throughout the litigation process.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active New Jersey law license in good standing.
5+ years of civil litigation and trial experience, preferably in insurance defense.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage an active litigation caseload.
Experience handling depositions, motion practice, client reporting, and court appearances.
Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
Excellent organizational, communication, and client service skills.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
