Overview:

To ensure efficient and safe power generation operations, consider the following responsibilities of Utilities Operations Team Captain:

Oversee daily operations of power generation facilities to ensure optimal performance.
Monitor equipment performance and conduct regular inspections to prevent downtime.
Manage and train staff on safety protocols and operational procedures.
Coordinate maintenance schedules and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
Prepare reports on operational efficiency and recommend improvements.

Responsibilities:

In fulfilling their role, Utilities Operations Team Captain perform various specific tasks including:

Scheduling and overseeing the routine inspection and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment within Utilities.
Implementing and supervising operational and safety procedures to adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
Analyzing operational data and reports to optimize performance and reduce operational costs.
Liaising with external suppliers and contractors to secure essential supplies and services.
Responding to emergency situations or equipment failures with effective problem-solving and leadership.
Meeting with staff regularly to discuss progress towards goals, changes in protocols, or updates in industry standards.

Qualifications:

To qualify for the position of Utilities Operations Team Captain, candidates typically need the following educational background and certifications:

Substantial experience, usually 5-10 years, in power plant operations or a similar industrial setting.
Professional certification in plant operations or facility management can be advantageous.
