Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. This role requires coordinating with internal departments in all areas of accounting in addition to being responsible for all tasks related to the billing of services rendered to the various federal and state agencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage all Employment customer and client monthly billing;
Manage Medicaid billing for all programs;
Maintain billing module of Midland’s electronic health record system;
Serve as a backup to manage School tuition billing and average daily enrollment tracking;
Serve as a backup to maintain financial information in school student database system;
Coordinate all Residential, Employment and day program DDD attendance tracking and reporting;
Reconcile billing activities for the Midland Health benefits program;
Issue disbursement checks;
Perform monthly credit card reconciliations;
Assist with annual budget preparation and analysis;
Assist with quarterly financial statement preparation and analysis (closing processes, including reconcilations and accruals);
Assist with all internal and external audit reviews, including ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures;
Ensure compliance with Midland policies, accounting standards and regulatory requirements;
Assist department with any special projects that may be assigned;

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree with 3 or more years of Billing/Accounts Receivable experience;
Must be able to gain background check clearance for the State of NJ Department of Education and Human Services;
Ability to maintain confidentiality with strong ethical standards;
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; accuracy and great attention to detail;
Ability to verify data input and to identify and correct errors;
Ability to liaise with internal departments to gather and interpret data, compile information and prepare reports;
Advanced PC skills with proficiency in: MS Office: MS Excel (heavy use) and including MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint; Payroll software – experience working with ADP (Workforce Now) is preferred; Accounting and Database systems;
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize under strict timelines and competing priorities;
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, in addition to functioning well as part of a team;
Must have high initiative, integrity, strong work ethic and good communication skills (verbal and writing).
